Looking for: Classic VTOL Vector Nozzle

Hey! Before I go on with the question I wanna apologize in advance if this is in the wrong forums!

I was wondering, does anyone know if there is a working engine or engine nozzle of sorts that looks like this?:

I seem to recall a mod having a part very similar to that, and fan of building VTOLs as I am, I'm desperate to find it but I can't locate the mod that had that part anymore If anyone knows of which mod I'm talking about or perhaps "another" mod that has such a part, please do let me know!

Oh wow. That was not the part I saw but that is quite amazing ! I'll definitely be tracking that one's progress. Thanks nli2work (again You've already helped me indirectly with the SP+ IVAs download).

Still looking for the one that's similar to the picture above. Something that could be radially attached. I'm still searching the add-on releases forums, I wish I could remember even a word from the topic's title :/

a radial attach one is tough with the way parts are mirrored, norcalairman experimented quite a bit and couldn't get both nozzles to mirror properly and rotate in the right directions.

Couldn't they make use of either Infernal Robotics or the mod that "breaks symmetry"? (can't remember the name, can look for it if you'd inquire further )

Though now I remember why I didn't get it at the time, just reluctant to install it given it's not ported to .25 D:

However in the vein of thought of norcalairman's vtol nozzle, couldn't something like that ^ in that other mod help?

might be able to fix up an MM patch for KAX's vtol nozzle to use FS's VTOL module.

I got a similar look and function a while back by using a radial engine from the bobcat HOME pack and putting it on an IR rotatron.

I just used 2 way symmetry in the SPH and they all rotated together in the correct directions.

I'm on my iPad and can't give you a link, but if you want to see what my setup looked like go to the Mission Reports forum and look for a thread called "Fun withVTOL's". It's on the 2nd from last page.

What would that patch do? I went ahead and tried to download the KAX mod, and so far it's working fine! I simply removed all other parts that weren't that sweet nozzle which was all I wanted and it seems to be working really nicely. I attached a tweak-scaled (down) rotatron to the plane, and then the jump-jet nozzle to it and it's just like the real thing . Again though, something like this built-in natively for the mod you linked me to would be amazing, and while I don't understand anything about modding or coding I can *see* that it shouldn't really be all that difficult But yeh not sure! Just saying what I'm seeing xD

Thanks Kerba Yeah that's usually what I do for VTOLs as well. This time however I just wanted to find a part that looked like the Harrier's nozzle specifically, knowing that I had already spotted the thing I just needed a little help to find the thread again as it was a little buried into the forums, given it's not getting very many comments.
