Where are all the jettisoned Sojus boosters?

Acording to wikipedia the Sojus in its different versions launched about 1600 times, each time with 4 Boosters. In

at 7:50 it is mentioned that the boosters land/crash in an uninhabited area 350km from baikonur. Where are als those boosters? Are they recovered (for the metall) or are there still about 6800 20m boosters laying around?

But basically, the rocket industry do nothing about them. However, scrap collectors do pick apart the boosters remains and sell back what they find.

Yeah, spent boosters can do some damage and can pollute for the toxic fuels , and some people live from recuperating those spent boosters. (They even track the fall of the debris, to try to be the firsts there, in order to get those metals.

After all, rocket grade metals, even bent and burned, is still rocket grade metal :)
