Thread subscribtions

I have a couple of subscribed threads, I would like to see a notification in the upper right corner when a new post appears in them. The email notification isn't very useful in my case and without any notification that feature just makes those threads easier to find, nothing else.

More specifically, to avoid the possibility of having 150 notifications at once, it would only show one notification per thread.

If this feature already exists and I just missed it, please tell me how to use it.

Leave the "Quick Links", "Subscribed Threads" link open, and just refresh it every once an a while. If you're on a phone bookmark it and it will refresh every time you click the bookmark.
