New analysis of the Sutter's mill meteorite...

which fell in California two years ago. It contains some of the largest diamonds we've ever seen in a meteor- still tiny, but larger than the nano diamonds usually found, formed in the very atmospheres of stars. Scientists used the data to determine that at least five different stellar sources contributed material to the local nebula that would become us and our solar system. Fascinating.
