Strange zoom out on exiting building

Recommended Posts

Are you using any mods? I seem to recall there are a couple that can cause this. Also, if you "revert to VAB/SPH" from map mode, it will cause the view to be zoomed out the next time you launch. (Just one of those weird things.)

No. I'm not using any mods on this installation.

I normally do use some mods. Chatterer, Alarm Clock with Transfer Window. Docking Assistant, Environment enhancement (Astronomer Pack), KAS, Procedural Fairings. Maybe a couple of small parts packs.

However, Having experienced several bugs while using these mods and not having played much of KSP in vanilla, I couldn't be sure whether these bugs were from mods or KSP.

I ripped out KSP and did a fresh install of KSP only.

This is one of the bugs I experienced while using the mods and now I am experiencing the same bug in vanilla.

I then made a short descriptive report of the error in the correct forum.

Perhaps you didn't see the second half of my post then. For stock KSP, this happens if you are in the map view when you "revert to VAB/SPH." It's an annoying but relatively harmless bug.

So either don't be in map view when you revert, or toggle map view after you launch the next time (like you did).

No. I saw the second half of your post. I just thought I should wait and see if it happens in other circumstances before commenting on it.

If I make certain to only switch when in camera view I will then be able to observe if the bug still occurs.

Thanks for your input.
