Game won't start on mac

I just downloaded the latest version for mac and I launched the launcher. Play wasn't appearing so I went to update but it would just launch terminal and will not let me hit play. Does anyone have any ideas?

Not a Mac user, so I don't know how much help this will be, but: Can you launch the game directly using the executable, rather than the launcher?

IIRC some people have had trouble with the launcher (on Windows), but the game itself runs fine.

Launcher doesn't work on mac, I learned this the hard way. Updating doesn't work either. Just launch the app directly and if you want the latest version download it manually.

True facts.

Good news is, you don't need it. If you open up the KSP directory, drag the file called "KSP" onto the dock and run from that. Keep an ear to the ground for new releases so you can update.

Alternatively buy the Steam version so you don't need to bother.
