VAB Open Ship Dialog inop

Something in my install broke recently. While in the VAB, clicking the Open Craft Files button is inoperable. It acts like it is opening the ship folder, then it simply reverts to the VAB.

when I go to the launch pad, I can select a craft there, and then edit it from that window, so I have a workaround, but I would like to figure out how to fix my VAB button.

I redownloaded x86, installed it fresh, and then copied my gamedata and save file over, and the problem repeated. I suppose now i need to copy only the craft files (with a clean gamedata) but as all my ships are modded, I suspect it will still give me problems.

Any ideas?

Solved, it was a bad craft file. Simply deleted craft files till I found the one that broke my VAB button.
