Demo?

If I install the demo of KSP to test if it work on my machine before buying to full version, will the demo just update or will I have to do some more meddling to get the full release?

You'll need to download & install the full game – there's no way to directly update. It may be very difficult to transfer saves, too, but there's so much more in the full version that it probably doesn't matter.

It's by no means a perfect test, but it should be a pretty good indication. The major limiting features are usually RAM and PhysX. KSP 0.25 uses more RAM, but on Linux that tends not be as much of an issue and you'll be able to use the Active Texture Management mod to adjust RAM usage. The versions of PhysX are not that much different – it's currently bound to a single core.
