ummm, Voskhod is a bad role model. Those three people were not as much "managed" as "crammed" inside.

No it's a good model, it had enough room to acceptably house 3 cosmonauts and should be considered the smallest acceptable size. The point is the Indian one is bigger and will house 3 Indian cosmonauts (or whatever they decide to name them).

Various places, not sure if true (I hope not).

EDIT: it can't be true, Vostok (a ballistic sphere) came in at 8G's max from LEO, this thing came down from suborbit (with propulsive assistance) and is somehow doing 13G's... either fake or it came in nose first. Unlikely.
