Planetary Scale Manipulation

I was thinking you could incorporate planetary scaling with difficulty.

Maybe have it increase with difficulty?

Don't have it increase on its own, per game, but instead make it available as a variable when setting a custom difficulty?

I just like the idea of balancing out the massive amount of money I can still make in career mode on the hardest mode. Yes, I can reduce payout, but I feel like increased funds use (rather than reducing payout) allows for more fun. Larger rockets = greater complexity than simply taking away money, etc.

What you think? Expand...

I realize there are scaling mods, like 6.4, but This allows per application use. Worse case I just load that but I feel integration is a good idea.

I just spent several hours copy-pasting and editing together a RSS config balanced around how I want to play rather than scientific accuracy or even internal consistency, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I'm greatly looking forward to sending ships out to explore a system in which long distance trips take several years, the small rocky worlds are like stock, the bigger places with atmospheres are very big and intimidating, and Jool himself is truly a monster of a planet. It should be great fun!

So yes, I think your notion of allowing players the freedom to rescale things to taste is a very good idea.

Hey White Owl, did you come up with the RSS 3.2 system? I've heard people talk about it on Twitch but haven't seen it yet.
