Macey Dean-style capital Ships

Recommended Posts

I believe Macey Dean provided the .craft files of those ships for download... let me have a look...

EDIT:

Macey's Navy Carrier youtube video:

has this link for the carrier craft file in the video description.

I suggest you check other video descriptions for other .craft files if you want to use these ships. Some were not originally by Macey though so he might not have felt right about redistributing them.

As for tutorials... no.

Isn't building your own ships part of the game's appeal? Just throw something together! If you need help with specific things, like making missiles or getting something humungous into orbit, I suggest you ask for specific help!

Thanks but i have already tried to build on myself but it required strut spam. im looking for a way or tutorial to do it with minimal struts

Strut spam is actually NOT A BAD THING, all it does is increase strength of the ship, with minimal preformance impact.

Ive done a test, and a 500 part ship was rather laggy especially in atmo, whereas a ship made of maybee 10 parts, and 2000 struts was fine in my experience. Ofc the struts DO NEED to render, so its not like infinite struts = no lag, but strut spam (assuming its not externally visible, that looks liek crap) has minimal issues with teh way game handles physics

I just made a new carrier based off Macey's style. It uses the wings are mounted on I beams that run parallel outside the hangar inside fuel tanks are used to brace the walls.

Overall make the core fuel tanks and anything like that ex. Hitchhikers containers, etc. then try to make the outside with structural parts. If you want to make something specific message me.
