My First Solar Eclipse in KSP!

As the title of the thread would suggest (possibly), today I encountered my first solar (Kerbolar?) eclipse on Kerbin. I was testing a lifting body twin-engine high-altitude hypersonic research jet (hooray stock aerodynamics!) and the sun was just coming up over the horizon directly ahead of me. (Thankfully Kerbals are immune to sunlight and radiation, otherwise poor Jebby would've been blinded.) I didn't even notice the eclipse at first, and when I did I thought it was a graphical bug. Then I checked the map view, and noticed that the Mun and Kerbol were both perfectly aligned to deliver a beautiful eclipse to this part of Kerbin. Alas, I didn't get any screenshots, but still a very neat event!

EDIT: Hooray for zero-eccentricity orbits causing monthly eclipses!

Congrats! I too started a post when I noticed an eclipse, then quickly got slammed by countless mentions of how frequent they are considering the inclination of Mun is 0 degrees so it'll happen a lot. Some people just don't appreciate how science can be artistry at the same time! Keep noticing the little things - that's where life happens!

If someone had told me, forty-odd years ago, bearing in mind I was raised using slide-rules and could do mental arithmetic faster than the first pocket calculators that I saw, that I would one day mile at moments of beauty in virtual realities that existed in a computer that I would own myself one day, I would have found it hard to credit. But here I am, and I appreciate every darned one of 'em, because anything that adds beauty to the world should be treasured.

I would pretty much say the same thing... between Celestia and KSP, I've been waiting and dreaming about 40 years for such. I must say, and admit, that nothing in life has disappointed me more than the fact that (life portrayed in) 2001 - A Space Odyssey did not come to be.
