Constant crashes

I have been having constant crashes. It is like an out of memory error (the game just hangs), but the output log doesn't give an out of memory error.

I have a fair number of mods (deadly reenty, NER, kolonization, karbonite, mechjeb, alarm, KAS, toolbar, procedural fairings, joint reinfornce, bugfix, and active texture management).

Any help as to the cause will be appreciated : )
