Fine tuning while part still attached to nodes

When I was building some replicas of mine, I realized i could not fine-tune(Shift+W/A/S/D) a part if it was connected to those green nodes.

I wanted to put a cubic strut inside a fuselage and have it to be exactly centred. So I attached it to the green node and could not fine-tune it. So I took 45 minutes to put it exactly into the center using angle snap.

I hope in future KSP updates this will come out as I don't have much time for KSP and I still want to continue making replicas.

They add translation gizmos into the editor. I suppose this will help a lot.

One option is to zoom right in and disable node attachment. Make symmetry 2 and when the two CubOS' are in the same place, decrease symmetry and attach. You now have a perfectly central, angled CubOS. Takes 30 seconds at most.
