Monitor question!

My monitor has burnt-out pixels popping up all over the place! I need a new one. What are your recommendations upon which to purchase?

It must be as cheap as possible, be adequate [not over-the-top] for gaming, and AT LEAST bigger than 1280x1024.

Thanks!

How to buy a monitor

1. Decide what budget you have / you want to give at it.

2. What do you want it to do: Set technical criteria?*

3. Search monitors within your budget & technical critaria

4. Now you should have a list of some monitors. Pick one of them you like.

*Some specs could be:

-Pixels (resolution) (maybe hd, 1600x1200, etc)

-Aspect ratio (mostly 16:9)

-Format (17', 20', etc.)

-Connections (HDMI etc)

-Coating

Tip: Search for reviews of the monitor you want to buy at the end of the process. This could reveal things like input lagg, and just how another user experiences the monitor.

Remember: Your monitor is the only part of your computer that you need to look to. Pick a good one that you like.

Also remember: Take a resolution that your computer can handle ;)

Also, it\'s best to do this, instead of just buying a monitor of link in this forum...

Or, you can go to a monitor shop / place where they sell monitors.
