M.A.O.U.S stand for "Modular Autonomous Orbital & Universal Station" which is a concept of ... erhm.. Modular stations !

the aim is to build an orbital station that can be shrunk, modified, or, expanded, with most of its modules able to autonomously detach and do a de-orbit burn to fall back on kerbin if empty/useless, landing is optional (just need to slap a couple of chute and we're fine )

Still working on more modules to add (ressources sensors array, solar panel array, living space, refinery for karbonite, a SSTO design to carry Orange...)

but hey! less talk moar pewpew, so here a few shots with some data :

STATION CORE :

6.2 tons, 65 parts, 21 200Funds, 10 docking points and a drone core to stabilize

SCIENCE LAB :

3.8 tons 13parts, 6 200Funds (can't return alone yet, light part can return with the appropriate cargo bay)

SCIENCE POD :

2.6 tons, 27parts, 52 000Funds, can be added for most science missions, you just have to drop it on LKO or at a station for the lab

LIFE SUPPORT :

8.8 tons, 17parts, 36 500Funds, answer your RCS and food needs (can't return alone yet, part can return with the appropriate cargo bay)

ORANGE :

41 tons, 31parts, 29 700Funds, will be a pain to bring this to the station, but will refuel efficiently and can return from LKO on its own !

ESCAPE POD :

2.8 tons, 30parts, 9 300Funds, 900m/s of D/V, T/W is 2.6 on Kerbin - 16 on the Mun, 1 SEAT. "Because sometime, something go wrong"

DRONE TUG :

5.1 tons, 44parts, 21 900Funds, 2500m/s of D/V, T/W is 1.5 on Kerbin - 9.5 on the Mun, will catch adrift vessels passing by, reconfigure or deorbit your station, the choice is your, the DRONE TUG will comply ! (not designed to return, ever!)

I had MKS/OKS installed for a while, but I felt a bit overwhelmed and never used it, so I figured i'd first grin my teeth with what I already have !

Feel free to contribute, I welcome any experiences about station building
