"Extend"/"Retract" Antennas

Recommended Posts

Most of the time I play sandbox mode and just add antennas for a better look. I mentioned, when I wanted to extend the antennas during flight, sometimes there was a "Extend"/"Retract" button in the RMB menu and sometimes not. What´s causing this?

I have figured out that most of the "right click menu bugs" can be attributed to KSP/Unity thinking you're holding down the Modifier key (ALT in the case of Windows). If you tap on the ALT key a couple times, that resets the problem.

That might not be your problem, but it can help if what The Yellow Dart offers is true.

Kind of in the same vein, but has anyone found a good way to keep the antennas extended? I've found that if you decide to transmit data using them, they'll retract after you're done.

Set isOneShot = true in the part.cfg. You can still extend/retract with the right click menu, but it won't auto deploy when you transmit.

When in warp, a lot of the buttons from the RMB menu disappear. At a glance, I'd say this is the reason - you were probably in warp at the time you noticed it.

Thats not the problem, I checked it out.

Thanks, I'll try it out next time and change the prefix then.
