Sukhoi T 50 PAK FA

Hi! I have finished my PAK FA replica, it took a long long time to build it, so i hope you like it :)

Full stock and coloured with kerbpaint in black and white, but you can change it if you don't like black.

Part count: 250

weight at take off: about 13 tons

fuel load: 300

highly manouverable even without SAS

hidden ladder

CONTROLS

-1 toggle engines

-0 toggle ladder

I thought that it was awesome, just that it was a tad slow at 3/4 speed during turns and stuff. At full speed it was amazing, but it left everything else in the dust. Other than that, awesome build! totally looks like the real thing

That is the smoothest FAR graph I've ever seen . Also cabling performs really well, the plane turns like if it was in stock ksp LOL

Btw is it necessary to have so big part count? Can't you do anything with that?

honestly i think no, the new patch add more wooble to the plane so i really can t reduce the part count without compromise the overall rigidity, but im working on this now so lets see what happen =)

I achieved some structural stability on my F-15 under 200 parts by attaching some of the central fuselage to structural components.

It also took some creative wing design, but balancing the airframe is half the fun. :)

Also, it seems single engine jets are actually easier to make. My Mirage-III doesn't experience any wobbling.

Should I abandon installing internal bomb bays on my stealth jet replicas? It certainly screwed up the shape on my YF-22. :P

The problem is for achieve such a good shape i didn't use any fuselage, it's just 1 wing connector, 1 central bar and then wings to recreate the fuselage so it can be very rigid without a lot of struts...

I agree single anegine are way to easy to manage, double engine are harder especially when they have thrust vectoring that add a lot of torque to the structure of the plane, the pak fa has even the two engines pretty distant each other, and this add even more torque.

Why not a quasi exoskeleton, although hidden between the wings? That's how I used to do my flying wings.

Cant get rid of the clipped wings? It ruins the look a bit

Also the air intakes aren't exactly properly oriented..

And you could add some antennas on the front nose cone for aerodynamic look

Admit it you were inspired by the wings of my F-49 xD

A bit what? Did you try it? Do you have a comment to make about it? I'd be more than interested to hear. Was just saying that he used drag body shape, cabling wings to the body, connecting body parts with wings etc... just like the f-49 some weeks ago. BTW your planes don't work at all in FAR :P

Well... It's because I don't make them to be FAR capable ;)

As you know I don't use mods :)

I'm focusing ONLY on aesthetics. After I reach certain level I'm making it to be able to fly. I don't want to broke it's final outlook, so I clip few control surface to make it controlable :)
