Hmm, I am running 0.9 but I believe even though task manager says 32bit, it's running 64.

How come mine aren't upgraded at all though?!

Hmm starting a new game, shows the upgradeable buildings. I'm assuming there is nothing I can do in the current save? Can I migrate it to a new campaign or do I need to start again?

Hello community.

I found something interesting about this 64 bit career bug. Basically to play career on 64 bit KSP it requires some effort but it is worth it you can quit to main menu open KSP folder and change your save file (in ksp\saves\save name\persistent) add value of building upgrade and subtract funds required to upgrade building. It is quite simply:

1.Quit to main menu

2.Open persistent file with notepad in ksp folder\saves\save name

3.Find part with facilities upgrades information(scroll about 2/5 of file)

4.Change value from 0 to 0.5 for 2 lvl and to 1 for 3 lvl

5.Subtract upgrade value form your funds (below contracts info)

6.Save file close it and load save in ksp. Buildings will look as 3 lvl even on 2 lvl but they will have abilities of 2 or 3 lvl buildings. Some bugs may happen when you break order of upgrades(some buildings need other ones upgrade to upgrade them so be carefull).

It works for me hope it will work for you too

KSP Version: 0.90.0.705 BETA - Windows 64 bit - i7 QuadCore which is running in quad mode - not single as the forum suggested.

What Happens: Buildings appear upgraded in career mode.

Mods / Add-Ons: None

Steps to Replicate: Interestingly, I had the same issue but only after my son created a second and third saved game and went into sandbox mode to play with all the bits and pieces. Then, my base showed up totally upgraded (though it did not advance any of the research trees or missions - appeared to be a visual upgrade only). We use the 'launcher' shortcut to launch the game [PLAY]. Not knowing immediately how to switch between 32 amd 64 bit versions within the launcher, I opened the game file folders - chose the non-64 bit KSP icon and immediately my base is back to its normal non-upgraded self.

Result: Buildings back normal

Fixes/Workarounds: Used the KSP Icon, not the KSP 64 or KSP Launcher

Bug with "upgraded" buildings only occur in KSP 64 so when you launched normal 32 bit everything was ok it is nothing special i think.
