Can't recover or return to Space Center

I just splashed down in the ocean, and when hitting "Recover Vessel", nothing happens. Then I tried to return to the Space Center, through the main menu, and that didn't work either. I had to quit the game to do anything.

Mod installed: MechJeb 2.4.1, although I haven't researched any MJ modules or used it in the game.

ETA: Upon restarting and going to R&D, I tried to quit out of R&D, and this happened (see upper-right corner and lower-right corner). The message log button is now overlaid over the close button. Neither close button works. Now I can't quit from R&D or even quit to the main menu, so again I had to kill the app.

So I removed MechJeb and it's still doing it. The game is basically unplayable at this point, as near as I can tell.

ETA 2: In that save, clicking on the VAB or the Tracking Station does nothing, now. Clicking on the Astronaut Complex brings it up, and I can leave it, but then nothing in the game works. Nothing is clickable. The save is corrupted apparently.

This isn't a clean install, I just removed all my old mods after installing the .90 update, so there could be an issue there. I can do a clean install if you want. In fact I'm going to do that now.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but left the save game there. It's still doing it, so it's corrupt, I assume.

Ok, you need to also make a new game instead of testing with your old save.

This exact same thing is happening to me. I've tried everything, uninstall, reinstall, only had 1 mod (Kerbal engineer). So very frustrating!

This has nothing to do with all your mods, it is caused by FinePrint.

I am constantly experiencing this as well, to the point where the game is basically impossible to play.

I've tried both a clean, unmodded install, and a modded one. It seems to happen in particular when 2 crafts get close together and especially after docking/grabbing. The debug screen is clearly showing a NullRefException but nothing more than that...
