How can I put three parachutes across the top of a capsule?

Im looking for a way to have a cross beam across the top of my capsule that allows me to put three parachutes on top of my capsule. I am trying to get a cheap way to save an engine while I test some low altitude flights but all the structural beams are up and down connects only and can only take on chute

Any ideas?

Structural beams can surface connect, so you can do something like this:

Why not just use radial chutes?

Ugly and heavy, but that works. Once you get radial chutes it's a lot easier.

A viable alternative is to save a little bit of fuel, and then use the engine to slow down right before landing.

Well, don't forget that you can also clip those girder segments into a fuel tan (or anything else) and just leave the end sticking off. (The new gizmos make it a bit easier...) Then attach the parachutes. Looks a lot cleaner if you are concerned about visuals.

It is pretty much what Claw suggested, I put the girder through the capsule, and use the new gizmo's to line it much nice. Make sure you don't block the hatch though
