Vessel not showing that it's "launched"

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I'm trying to do a mission in my career to put a satellite into Kerbin orbit, but whenever I launch my vessel, in the contract completion tab, it doesn't say I've launched the vessel. The probe I have has an antenna and power (or by power, does it mean some kind of solar panel), so what's up?

Hmm. I understand what you are saying but it clearly doesn't make sense. (ikr?)

Could you please provide a screenshot of your contract and your vessel in flight so that we can see all of what it says?

Thanks,

~Claw

I had this as well, very frustrating... report below.

Version – 0.90.0 – Mac 32 bit

What?: Contract to ‘Place satellite in specific orbit of Kerbin’ does not recognise that probe with the required parts has been launched.

Mods: None (All stock)

Steps to recreate: 1 – Create probe with power and antennae (as required)

2 – Launch vessel

3 – Mouse-over contracts, see that launch has not registered.

I wasn’t sure if this was just a graphical bug so placed the probe in the required orbit and got ‘green ticks’ for orbit and stability.

Result: Despite fulfilling the contract requirements, contract never completes.

Can provide craft file/screens if required. (Not on me right now)

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Oooops, this is a 'Support-Windows' thread. Should I start a whole new one for Mac Support?

Ah, thank you! I was thinking that I might of needed a solar panel, I just came here for conformation of that. But now the problem is I only have 2 contract spaces, and they're both full. No more room for more money. :( Also solar panels are just one tech level away for me.

There is a known bug right now where researching launch clamps will make these appear early. Launch clamps have a renewable power generator inside them, which makes the contract believe you have a renewable power source available (you technically do), but obviously you can't take launch clamps with you.
