Delta v displayed

Just wondering, is there a reason why vanilla KSP doesn't display your current Delta v that you have left on the ship?

It hasn't been implemented yet. With the Beta release Squad as implemented a large majority of the features that will be present in the final game, but they are far from done. Now the focus switches from feature/part implementation to bug-fixing and polishing. Be patient and I'm sure it will get implemented eventually. If you don't want to wait there is always VOID and KER (Linked for your convenience)

The engineer can repack chutes, fix broken wheels, and landing gear. It doesn't seem like much use until you realize you forgot an engineer and can't repack your chutes.

Because stock dV displays:

"might take some of the magic away."

Yet the maeuver editor goes and presents the required dV of a maneuver.
