Constant Crashing in 0.25 possible memory issue

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been getting a lot of crashes in KSP 0.25 32 bit which ended up being due to memory constraints. I installed Active Texture Management and reduced the texture size of Real Solar System and I was crash free until today. I left the house for several hours with KSP running and when I returned I attempted to launch a rocket and it crashed. Opened the game up again and another crash. I tried restarting my computer, monitoring the RAM usage, and checking the logs myself but I didn't see any clear indication of the game using too much RAM (sitting around 3.3gb during flight)

I did not change anything between when it was working and these constant crashes.

Here is my output.txt:

I've also tried adding -force-dxd11, that fixed all the crashing but created graphical glitches like pink texures and shadows flashing. Adding -force-opengl removes all my mods (probably something I'm doing wrong here)

Also, I did not try this in a clean game install as that would fix the crash problem most likely as I'm almost certain this is still due to RAM issues. I believe that covers all the info requested of me per the sticky, if there is anything else needed for me to do/info to provide I'd be happy to do so.

Regards,

James

That's a lot of mods, I doubt you'll be able to ever run all that on 32- bit.

Yeah I was getting 12-15 crashes a day before I installed ActiveTextureManagement. After that I could play with maybe 1 crash a day. I'm trying to figure out what changed that in a couple hours. Perhaps installing the aggressive version of ActiveTextureManagement?
