Motorsheep
Aaahahahaaa, I did it, I did it! I had to launch only 8 flights to get 2 ships into orbit that I could get together close enough for a rendezvous.Due to about 1.5 degrees difference in orbit inclination, I had to make a rough guess at the distance-based Hohmann transfer timing, so I ended up about 2km away from the target ship, but I still made it. Also, what did you estimate the required distance to be?
hubbazoot
I ended up about 2km away from the target shipThat\'s usually when I start my 'straight in' phase.
Motorsheep
What altitude did you have your catch-up orbit at? Also, what did you estimate the required distance to be?Sorry, I forgot to check back on this thread.I think my target was at 115km, and as far as I remember, I started catching up from 110km. As to the required distance, I just added some 2 or 3 km\'s to the value from your chart. It was more of a hunch than any kind of educated guessing or even calculating how many km\'s of lateral distance would result from a diversion of 1.5° in inclination.
