Accidental Planet Encounters

I was trying to send a spare satellite I had around Jool to Eve and was wondering why my maneuver node path kept disappearing...

Anyone else had this? Having the Mun or Ike get in the way is common, but have you ever had a planet get in the way when going interplanetary? :D

One of my first real ventures out of Kerbin's SOI when I first started playing (back in 0.18) involved a probe that I planned to simply hurl out as far into the solar system as I could. I had no intention of reaching any planet, it was just a test to see how far away from the sun I could get, I was hoping for solar escape...

But instead, I saw the orbit flicker for a moment...

Hm, what's this?

Oh, that's Duna!

So I visited Duna instead.

I tried landing the probe on Ike, but it didn't go so well haha.

This was the first screenshot I ever took in KSP... I never knew that you could, but when I reached Duna, I figured I should learn haha.

I doubt that actually anybody else has.

If you use the launch windows, such things are IMO nearly impossible, because the launch windows vary.

But mun is getting in the way pretty much regularly.

Well I suppose I worded that wrong... I mean that if you've been trying for a encounter for one planet, and picked up another instead... I've had it happen with Jool a couple of times when shooting for Eeloo, but never with Kerbin when shooting for Eve...
