Dunbas 1.

Commander: Shepfred Kerman

Lead Engenier: Fredby Kerman

Lead Scientist: Matzon Kerman

Secondary Scientist: Melfrid Kerman

Well, Kerbal Kind has come so far in just a few decades. Really, I mean we were on Kerbin, and just Kerbin, 59 Years ago.- Shepfred Kerman, on Duna.

Chapter 1: Touchdown

Commander's log: Duna Entry 1: Ok.. We are on Duna! It is so diffrent from Kerbin, and very different from cold, dark interplanetery space. It is nice to look out of the window here. So much red. I can't wait to start my new life. The supply ship is on its way, with a new module. Crew is excited, and I am glad they are. I'll miss Kerbin, but at least the sunset was niceCNH6w9t.png?1

Shepfred: Well guys, good work. We are here on Duna, and we will survive. So quit worrying Melfrid!

Melfrid: Ok, Ok! How about we get to work and collect some samples.

Shepfred: No need!, I went EVA and here *Gives Matzon 4 rocks* I got some rocks.

Matzon: Thanks.

*Fredby climbs into the habitat*

Fredby: Kerbol set. It is very dark and eerie outside. KSC is asking for status. What should I say?

Shepfred: Say that Dunbas 1 is ready for anything.

Fredby: Rodger that.

As the crew went to sleep in their modules, Ike shone above. KSC relaxed as they knew the hard part was over. Or was it....

Chapter 2: Secret in the night

Commander's log: Duna Entry 3: It is hard to get used to Ike up there, so big and bright. Always staying in one place... There is an eclipse every single day, and it is still wonderful. Kristmas is coming, and the best we can get here are some rocks. Hopefully something interesting or new will turn up. There has been interesting weather activity to the North, but it will pass us by far.

Meanwhile, on a Duna escape trajectory:

Ksc: Dunabas, come in.

Melfrid: This is Melfrid at Dunbas, we copy.

Ksc: Merry Krismas, and watch the skies.

Melfrid: Same to you.

*A light in the control cabin starts to flash*

Shepfred: The radio is picking up a signal... It is a small craft of some sort.

*Matzon looks at one of the screens, and flicks a few switches*

Matzon: Its trajectory is an aerobrake. Hmm. It could be an A-Class Astroid.

Shepfred. Well, ok. Track it. Report on it later.

Matzon: Sure thing.

4 hours later:

Matzon: It is aerobraking again. If it comes 'round again, it will hit Duna.

Fredby: We should contact mission control and report this.

Matzon: I'll do just that.

*Coms link with KSC is established*

Matzon: KSC, do you copy? KSC, copy in.

KSC: Matzon, we copy. What is it?

Matzon: There is an A-Class sized object on an aerobrake-collision trajectory with Duna, do you know what it is?

KSC: Oh don't worry. Just a large probe.

*Coms link with KSC is disabled*

Matzon: Weird. Anyway, That probe is reentering over our heads. I can't wait to see that fire show.

Krismas Eve, 2151 Hours. (11:51)

7 hours later...

*Fredby wakes up*

Fredby: Nobody is up... Better sneak out an EVA. I need to see that sunrise.

*Fredby suits up, and opens the Cupola airlock*

Fredby: This is beautiful. Wait a second, what is that?

Fredby: No way. A christmas gift! I hope it has new snacks! Merry Krismas to you too, KSC.

KSC: Dunbas 1, copy in. Dunbas 1, can you read me?

*Shepfred walks sleepily to the console*

Shepfred: KSC, this is Shepfred. You sound urgent.

KSC: We are. Dust activity closing in on you at 71 M/s from the North.

*Shepfred frezes. The North weather activity... And at 71 m/s? 71?!*

KSC: Stop all EVAs and now and be ready. This will get ugly.

Shepfred: Ok, roger that!

KSC: Good luck.

Shepfred: I really hope we don't need it. Shepfred out.

Meanwhile, less than a kilometer away...

Fredby: This is one of the best modules I have ever seen! It has a TV, and so many snacks. It landed using parachutes. That must have been hard. Oh look! A shower!

*Fredby whistles as he steps into the shower. He has no idea what is coming...*
