Cannot acces "Resume Saved" menu

Recommended Posts

While flying in Kerbin Atmosphere, my laptop ran out of battery and brutally shut down. After a restart, I have found that both 32 and 64 bits .90 versions cannot open the "Resume Saved" menu anymore. The debug menu is showing this:

[Log]: ExperienceSystem: Found 0 trait types

[Log]: ExperienceSystem: Found 9 effect types

[Error]: [GamePersistence Error]: No ROSTER node found in save state

[Exception]: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I can still start a new game that feel perfectly normal but if I quit I still can't access the Resume menu, neither create a new game by the same name, "A game with that name already exist".

Here are my "saves" folder and my output log.

Thank you, Rémi Dionne.

It looks like you've got at least one corrupted save -- and possibly two, though I can't be sure. The 'default' and 'Sand' save folders both have persistent.sfs files that are extremely small -- less than 15KB. In one of those files, and possibly both, you'll likely find that it just cuts off abruptly (you can view the files with a text editor, like Notepad). It'll have to be removed. If the quicksave(s) you have of them are fairly recent, and in better shape, you can just replace the persistent.sfs file with a copy of the quicksave.sfs file easily enough to fix it.

If that solution is useless, the only other way to resolve this is to remove the entire save. You can always copy any craft you want to keep to another save, or back them up elsewhere for future use. :)
