Mulbin has posted "A complete-ish history of Spaceflight" (or something like that). I was inspiried, and here it is: A complete-ish history of Flight!

Ancient Times

Since we only have a patchy record of ancient flights, these are my guesses on what they must have been like.

The Bird-Man

Mankind (kerbalkind?)'s first attempt at flight. Needless to say, none of them were succesful.

The Montgolfier Brothers

roughly 1782

The earliest recorded balloon flights. At this stage none of them were manned.

This is very much a VIP, and it's not complete, but I have to go to bed now. I'm gonna edit this tommorow.
