Cronic Crash on Start Up Problems

Recommended Posts

Hmm. This problem has come up several times, but seems to be something new. Do you mind also uploading your settings.cfg file and posting a link here? You can find it in your KSP install directory.

Also, what version of windows are you using?

Thanks, and welcome to the forums! :D

Cheers,

OK, just tried to run things again, still not working. Also tried running the patcher program, because I noticed that some folders are empty for an unknown reason. Result of running the patcher? This, which I think may be important

The source and destination cannot both be remote.

Get it out of your downloads directory. Windows sometimes causes problems if you install KSP to protected areas like downloads, documents, program files, or the desktop. The safest bet is to install it to somewhere like C:/Games/KSP

If possible, I recommend installing from a fresh zip. If you try to move your current install, you must copy & paste it. Do NOT "move" it, because windows might try to cause problems still.

Also, there are a few empty folders in KSP by default. It's an old holdover from past versions.

Cheers,
