[Stock] Efficient Fuel Lifter- 16 tanks to 200km

Recommended Posts

Ok, first time on Spacecraft exchange, sorry if the pictures don\'t work.

This craft is meant to be a money/parts efficient fuel orbiter, for when docking comes into play. Its usual payload is 16 large fuel tanks to a circular 200km orbit, with RCS for maneuvering. It takes 48 fuel tanks and 12 engines to do this, so over 1/5 of of the initial spacecraft weight is converted into orbiting payload. Furthermore, surfaces, RCS or autopilot are not required for ascent.

The payload can obviously be changed into a lander, or an extra stage added at the bottom for vertical climbing.

So, any takers?

At the moment, the file is from v13.3. This will obviously be changed when I buy the full version.

Well, it works, but the return of the Sticky Pad bug means that it needs some decouplers under the engines. I\'ve attached an edited version of the .craft file that works in the latest version. Does it normally take forever to get up to speed, though?

Love your work, a very efficiently made design,

I appreciated stock rockets and also anyone that is willing to lift a true payload.

I present for your viewing pleasure/horror my Advanced Super Heavy Lifter, that can take 115 tanks out to 200kms @ 26% efficiency by weight(I added engines and RCS to 6 of the 121 tanks to give it the ability to go into an orbit). I hope you will bring forth more true lifters into the game for all to enjoy!
