Mod Installation

I am having a very rough time with installing mods into my KSP. I keep coming across mods that are a .rar, and I have no clue how to get those mods into my game! >

Anyone out there a little more savvy than me who knows how to deal with these types of mods?

Plugins or parts?

For .rars, you\'ll need WinRAR or an equivalent to open compressed files. When you do, all you have to do is double-click the .rar, and it opens.

You have never used RAR before?!

Get WinRar (It\'s not free, but you can use the trial version pretty much forever) or a free archiver like 7zip, extract the archive into some folder, copy files or folders from there into the matching folders in your KSP installation folder (parts into the parts folder, plugins into the plugin folder) and you\'re done.

Yeah. It\'s pretty easy once you get used to it. Just open the rar, and drag the files from the folders into the parts folder in your KSP install.
