I'm building a millenium Falcon as a mothership. x64

Here is my starting point. A YT-XC for the port docking bay!

https://www./folder/exiknuvgf73dl75,0eatpoopda2llda/shared I just need to work on aesthetics and work on improved functionality. it does fly basically though. I'm assuming it's meant for space so in atmosphere flying probably isn't that important. Just need to get it to look right.

HINT: Flying at around 25 degrees gives a little speed and altitude.

^A pic for Jackvony

This is early test phases so I haven't gotten down the aethetics yet.

I thnk I'm going to try give it enough thrust to weight to make it and SSTO. Then it can fly up to the Falcon in orbit.

I'm trying to stick to Ion engines for space and getting to orbit with Rockomax48-7s for aesthetic purposes. anyone made an SSTO out of this before?

I'm only using the MK-1 regular or inline cockpit and the above engines and any wings/fuel/structure/Aesthetic peices to make an SSTO. Anyone know what is needed to get in space. Or are both of those incapable of it? I can get to about 8km with the rockomaxes but it dies on me. I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with generators for powering the Ions.

Ion electric: 8.7285/s

Radioisotopic gen: .75/s

I use 12Gens per ion. That means an electric independent Ion thruster weighs around 1.21. Less when it scales higher. I'm guessing to make this ship I will not be able to use solar panels. Pics of the ship are in the wiki link in the first post. It isn't much more than 2 small engines and a hull.

It would help if you could run ions and the rockos at different thrust ammounts but they are sadly stuck to the same thrusters bar. If they were I could run the rockos at like 10% thrust and the ions at full till I hit orbit. I think I will have to do a large ion with a small ammount of rockos to push into orbit after floating up with the Ions. Or somehow combine them to not go through the fuel to quickly for the rockos without having to much weight. This is trickier than it looks.

Has anyone else done an Ion/Rocket mixed one man SSTO?

I gave up on stock craft. The stock cannot do what I want to do.

BTW, I'm now going for accuracy instead of trying to do it stock. So, does anyone have any idea what type of engines/powersupply/etc would be on the YT-XC? I haven't found any specs for it like the millennium falcon.. There is a picture in the wiki link. Is anyone familiar enough with the lore to know? Or does anyone know or have any ideas? I haven't found any specifics on that little craft up to this point.

I'm obsessed with that little craft now. It even began to cross my mind to finish learning to do 3d modeling to make a proper cockpit for the visuals!! 8p To bad I need stats to do it.

Edit: http://www./download/hoo55o9jq7bzhob/Millennium_Falcon_(grid).craft <- Here is a hypothetical grid showing scale of the millennium falcon. It has lengths width and height from this pic.

p><p>The height is questionable as it in

It's not as big as I thought it would be.

I think something also said it had 100 tons of carrying capacity. I just need to find good parts for it. It's really hard to find stuff that will work.
