Keeping it kerbal

And so rolls around my 3rd season of kerbal space program. Maybe this time I can look half way competent.. tho i would not count on it

So kicking us off I bring you

Taking care of some left over contracts and the bring forth the innovation to get enough science to make a Mun worthy vessel

After collecting some wayward sciences from around kerbin we try for our first rescue from orbit mission, with no maneuver nodes or close encounter marks

Today in my Kerbal Space Programme Career Mode Playthrough it's finally time to break away from Low Kerbin Orbit and make my first attempt at a Mun landing

Unfortunately I do not have the Moneys to upgrade the VAB so I am FORCED to try and make the mission on just 30 parts.

And if thats not enough I want to take 2 kerbals on the trip.. Jebediah for SAS control and Bob for the increase in science returns

Continuing the trilling 2 kerbal Mun mission, welcoming a new face to the team and making Unmanned craft (no sas)

Many flights, a few explosions and just a touch of success

Come with me on a journey.. Last time we spent all our kerbucks rescuing our brave kerbals from the Mun.. So today we fly the flag of commercialism and take the next step in space venturism.. putting satellites into orbit for money before usurping them for our own means

Moneys are low in Kerbal Space Program and without patched conics we're never getting to Minimus, so Mun missions away

Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Todays Episode was meant to be just a bad ass, contract completing episode... Unfortunately the universe thought differently

All our hardwork and efforts have been leading up to this glorious point, no longer will we be bound to an equatorial orbit within the kerbin system, nay Minmus is our target

Time stretches on like a never ending stream, the voids of space song their eternal vacant song and we as inhabitants of the limitless abyss must fill out time as we wait

Giving the masterclass on how to smash a single contract on Minmus.. Orbital 180's, Mountain clipping trajectorys, BARREL ROLLS!! and maybe an explosion or 2

My Kerbal space program is looking towards the future outside the kerbin system, other worlds, different skies and unknown values of G

First I need to return all Kerbals to the homeworld. But Richmal is a bit of a maverick so he's not headed straight home, he's off to see Minmus first and prove Jeb has nothing on his skills

The Duna trip is fast approaching and It would be the simplest thing to just launch a Light probe and get the easy contracts but I feel much more inclined to send a colony

Of course when I say colony I mean a small collection of vehicles that can cover any contracts that may pop up for later profit at Duna

And so designed and testings need to take place and for a change I thought I might "Live commentary" over it rather than the usual post rundown that I give

Last episode highlighted MANY issues with the plans for Duna. We upgrade our glider to a full Dr. Make a .... Duna Buggy and a lander worthy of the first interplanetary Mission in this save of Kerbal Space Program

DUNA MISSION!! Getting 3 of the component vehicles together on orbit in readiness for the upcoming transfer window leads to some very interesting ways of slapping rockets to stuff

With very few explosive disassembles, misplaced thrusters and rendezvous fun

DUNA MISSION!! Finally collecting all the elements to create Iguns our super awesome duna transfer vessel, including the much hyped Ike Probe

For one we have an explosion free episode and a lift heavy one, many rendezvous and even a bit of orbital maintenance

DUNA MISSION!! With just a few final preparations to be made on orbit we have a final flight to perform, So Richmal and our new scientist Rayvin are taking to the giant firework

Once up, there rendezvous go smoothly and missions are able to be performed until we have a little bit of glitchy fun

DUNA MISSION!!! We're off, well we're ready and we will be off shortly.. Just need to deal with this tiny distraction at the start of the episode.. and then all will be perfect, just as the title says.

I mean really.. it's just the first interplanetary Mission.. what could go wrong?

We need to get some crews, some experience and Land a glider on Duna. 2 tasks that are easy in theory, but once again practically not so easy

So first some RnD for a big Mun mission before trying some unorthodox attempts at a Duna Landing

DUNA MISSION!!! Now that we have landed the crew, rover and glider we only have one thing left to finish all the contracts.. This of course it to transfer Py to Ike

Struggles are also real when it comes to trying to get the 4th crew together, we only seem to get scientist applicants

How to level up in Kerbal Space Program - After the travesty of the Duna Mission, It's time to think of ourselves as investors in Kerbals, rather than destinations, So we need a big mission to gain XP

Thankfully the boys in engineering have been hard at work to bring us Mun pig!!

The 10 kerbal, Big Ass Deployment Aerospace Shuttle System. So we can get the Kadets all the xp we can milk from the closest neighbour

The continuing adventure of Kerbal Kadet Bootcamp carries the brave and slightly stupid "Volunteers" to minmus.. We managed to lure all of them into the new ship with the promise of ice cream

As a side mission we prepare ourselves for the first venture out to Jool.. only to find a hilarious mix up has been perpetrated, as is my way in kerbal space program

Space Planes are very hard things to get right.. and I still have not got it right.. so back to the hanger for more engineering and satellite Kerbal Space Program career mode shenanigans
