x32 or x64 Game Problems

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Kerbals!

I have a pretty bad issue as following:

I have installed quite a few mods and if I start my game with the x32 Version it Crashes after the loading is finished, however if I use the x64 version it works perfectly, dispate occasional very rare crashes, but a few of my most favourite mods don't support x64, such as Life Support and FAR ;.;

What do you suggest I could do? I tried ATM, but it keeps crashing...

Mods I use (Folders in my GameData Folder):

-000_Toolbar
-000_USITools
-ActiveTextureManagement
-B9_Aerospace
-BoulderCo(CLouds,CityLights)
-CommunityResourcePack

Are you using the basic ATM, or the aggressive ATM? Typically, most players will need the aggressive ATM.

Also, if you want to use the 64 bit client, then create a shortcut on your desktop and add the switch "--force-opengl". That should help eliminate some issues in the 64 bit client. There's also a Win64 FAR running around the forums somewhere.

So I changed to ATM Aggressive, but no change, still crashes after the Loading is complete. :(

What else could I do? Or wich mods do you suggest as using much memory?

Here is the Bottom Part of the crashlog:

As stated above, try forcing open gl. It reduces my memory usage by approximately 1 gig. That coupled with aggressive ATM should allow you to run quite a few mods. You do have some pretty part heavy mods listed though. So if that still isn't enough you may have to just remove mods. Kw rocketry, B9, USI, all have a lot of parts in them for example. Another option is to go in and cherry pick the most desired parts from each of those part mods to reduce memory usage.

You are out of memory. 32-bit KSP can only allocate about 3 GB; 64-bit can allocate as much RAM as you have on your PC. You're going to have to cut down on mods or stick with 64-bit. (Some recommend sideloading a Linux distro for playing 64-bit since it is much more stable.)
