Cannot dock!

Hello,

I don't understand why, but I'm trying to dock two items that previously were docked, and now it seems that the magnetic attraction doesn't happen.

I made a travel to Ike. I place one part in orbit, with a probe, electricity and a Jr Clamp. Then I went to Ike's surface with Jebediah and the other part, that was a capsule with a normal Clamp.

After doing all my research on the surface I climbed again to orbit to rendezvous, but when doing the maneuver to dock nothing happens (I also declared the probe port as target). Both probe and capsule touches perfectly, but that's all.

I'm I missing anything?

During assembly the docking ports can attach to anything and act like a decoupler but once separated the docking units will only dock to a similar unit. If one ship has a Jr and one a standard docking port then they can't re attach.

Argghh, I will learn to test everything in Kerbin's orbit :-(

Sometimes when I'm docking I get an issue where my clamps refuse to lock in. They are touching and there is a tiny tiny gap that won't close. I find turning off ASAS and doing a small physics warp can help them lock together.

If they are the wrong size you might be out of luck though

Yeah, I didn't know it. I guess I had luck when I built my first Space Station. :-)
