Surgery in light of cell phone :-)

I read once that here in Poland, in one of the powiat (county) hospital, happened quite unusual story.

Poland is haunted by strong winds during the autumn and early spring. During one of these storms were broken high-voltage cables, and the hospital lost power, usually in such a situation will automatically start the backup generator, but the hospital was not the case, because the electrician employed by the hospital was an idiot:-)

Surgeons then carry out life-saving operations, if power is interrupted when she was one of the surgeons suggested to illuminate the work area to use mobile phones, fortunately when she was a power failure, they just finished work and began to sew the patient.

The chief surgeon was then very angry, he said it was a disgrace that Poland may not be a rich country, but things can happen in third world countries but not in Poland.

I went hiking once, miles deep into a state forest, and I underestimated my time before nightfall. The only thing I had with me was my digital camera, the kind that has a viewscreen on the back. The light from the viewscreen in menu mode was what got me out, enabling me and my friend to see and read the trail markers... which wasn't easy, because the LCD light changed the colors somewhat of the markers.
