Does anyone know what insect this is?

It has 6 legs, 4 eyes, seems to be eating grass with its front legs.

It's long, black and white, like a caterpillar but with less legs.

It also stops moving when in danger.

That image is pretty bad. It's likely a larval form, perhaps a cicada.

Kind of looks like a Cicada (aka Seven Year Locust), or a Grasshopper. Need a clearer image.
