Part getting ripped off from strong airflow.

Recommended Posts

I have a probe called Deep Impact that keeps getting this error. Ive repeated the problem several times with and without mods. It "rips" at very low speeds with TWR of less than 2.

1. I have over 100 struts clamping the probe down , so I dont understand what is going on

2. No DRE, no FAR

3. Ive tried cheats and Kerbal Joint Reinforcment and still it keeps "ripping"

4. Ive even placed a second set of fairings and an extra nose cone and still no dice

5. This only happens with the Deep Impact probe from RN probe pack.

i know this is annoying but could we please have pics? or a gif of this happening? it doesn't sound like it would be an issue for you to grab another instance of this happening for me to see

with a video i might be able to tell whats happening. my best guess is that you've got a really skinny piece connected to a lot thicker piece. but as you have said you have the strutted to hell soooooo yeah. you might be using an obsessive amount of physic less parts on your actual probe? i once had a rover i brought all the way to the min on my first hardcore career mode (i know you couldn't disable reverts and stuff so i just never used it) but then whenever the lander touched the ground POOF it spazzed the crap out and killed everyone. and thats when i gave up on career mode for quiet a long time.

If it only happens with a single probe from that probe pack, then you should check with the author of the pack.

Although, what other mods do you have?

Yea its with just that probe, ill post a ticket in the dev thread. I have MJ, RC, DRE. Not too much fight inhibiting plug-ins.
