Do you have any idea of how to make KSP use 2 GPU's or is it just not optimized for it? I'm running at 9-13 FPS near my space station. I will add I have an i-5 3570k, HD 6950 and a 6970 and 16 GIG's of ram. I'm gonna have to say it's not my rig, so any ideas would be great.

KSP is a lot more reliant on core processing (CPU) than graphics processing (GPU).

As it stands, KSP is built using Unity 4.x, which does not yet offer multi-threading support.

As far as I know, the best way to improve performance is to:

a.) reduce graphics settings, or

b.) upgrade CPU to something with a higher base clock speed.

Since it's not your rig, I can guess which one you'll try ;)

Thank you all for posting, here are the links.

Also my GPU usage is at 45% & 700mb of 2 GIG, CPU is 40-45% and Ram is at 6.9 or so.

and this all I have built, not to extensive. http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j353/Gregali46290/screenshot82_zps9b7a2094.png

Previous versions of KSP supported Crossfire, but the current one does not, for whatever reason. In most situations, you will be CPU bound. At least until they update to a later version of Unity and physics goes multi-threaded.

I don't know much about AMD and cross fire, but I have gtx 670 in SLI. At default, KSP only uses the primary card. I can force SLI in nspecter (3rd party graphic card setting program). KSP then does in fact use both cards. I get a bit higher FPS but a lot more stuttering. So I leave it on just using one card.
