Strange graphics problems and crashing in Linux 64 bit

Problem: I get strange graphics glitches and occasional crashing.

When .90 came out I kept my modded .25 game in a separate folder, and played it from there, I then had a go at fully stock .90 just to see what it was like, and I got this bug: http://i.imgur.com/cf5pL44.png (this is the same bug but from when all my mods had been updated, it was happening in stock too) And I got a fix for it, but ever since I implemented the fix this has been happening:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=366255483 & http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=374813144 After a small while of this happening it usually crashes. And nothing I can do solves it, not even undoing what fixed the first bug. Ideas? I've been struggling with it for a while now and I can't do anything to fix it.
