Lifters!

So you spent hours designing that space station/ship/thing, and now you no longer have the patience to start designing lifters?

"Munshine Lifters" hasn't updated for a while, so I'm posting lifters that i use :D i think they are pretty similar.

Configured in the most efficient way, bringing a 15.3% payload fraction into a 70km~75km Kerbin orbit, and fly very smoothly.

Prices:

18 tons - 40,650$

54 tons - 122,780$

72 tons - 161,886$

90 tons - 203,960$

126 tons - 285,140$

162 tons - 366,392$

324 tons - 730,632$

Some come with a flat-top configuration, for more payload clearance:

Launch profile:

- 6,000 m: pitch down to 80° (324t lifter: 70°)

- 10,000m: 55° (324t lifter: 45°)

- 25,000m: 45°

- 30,000m: 30°

- 35,000m: 20°

- 45,000m: 10°

- 50,000m: pitch down to horizon, reduce throttle and go to map view

- kill throttle when apoapsis is at 70km~75km

- Get to apoapsis, circularize.

That's all for now, until I can manage to make my 3.75m part lifters more user friendly.

You have any questions? suggestions? feel free to post! :)

0.90 breaks all old struts and fuel lines. You will have to remove them and replace them by new ones, and that's quite a work for a whole lifter set.

I partially agree. I have several lifters that when I tried .90, just flat out wouldn't work. Also had large stations in orbit that when selected and the physics hit, they would explode in a massive (albeit gorgeous) fireball. After some searching the forums, found that some of it was attributed to Kerbal Joint Reinforcement. Then, someone suggested I load each ship from .2x and save it in .90. So, when through the whole inventory, load each old ship and saved it in .90. This process (and removing KJR temporarily) has solved 85% of my issues. The remainder are issues I found were poor design, forgotten struts, etc. Once I cleaned those up, I have about 95%-98% of my entire fleet is solid in .90.

Just my $0.0198373748

Cool to see some stack-staging lately, especially ones that give a very attractive 15.3% payload fraction.

Too much can go wrong with side boosters! :D

Cool! What about your Astroliners and epic Bases? Please don't tell me their dead! :(

Not dead, i'm just out of ideas. :P The bases are just something I quickly slap together before doing a mission.

Well good thing I don't use fuel lines ;-)

In some cases, after I add fuel lines to a rocket it becomes as laggy as my 700-part ships. O_O

Can we get a dollar value on these lifters, assuming default prices of parts in career mode?

Sure, i'm editing right now :]

Alright, but your bases are still epic and I would love them.

Also, what visual pack do you use in your videos to Laythe? There are many visual packs so I am not sure which one. The pink clouds of Laythe are incredible, and I would love too have them.
