Hi. I am a newcomer to this wonderful game so, bear with me if my question was already answered time and again...

Will atmosphere friction, particularly damage from wrong reentry angle, be handled in next to be released v1.0? As a newcomer this was the add-on I felt most necessary.

Actually, friction does not create atmospheric heating. Shock heating (Air coming at you really quick) is the cause.

And as much as it's been a planned feature that should be finished before 1.0, there's no indication that shock heating will be in the game until after release.

And I know it's cliche for the KSP forums, there's a mod for that.
