I only paid £10 for Kerbal Space Program, and I feel bad about it.

When I got KSP, it was in a steam sale. My brother showed me the game and I liked the look of it and as soon as I got home I bought it.

Some months later we're sitting here with the (hotly debated) 1.0 announcement, and I'm having so much fun playing the game. The community is also adding more and more things every day with mods to just expand things in cool and interesting ways.

And all Squad got from me for it was £10, minus whatever Mr Newell creamed off the top.

Just feels a bit wrong.

Download blender and unity and create some new content, if you have lack-of-contribution-guilt.

Mod some parts and post your cfgs in the forum?

Why don't you design them a new runway(s). heh-heh.

BTW, we paid less in the states so . . . .don't feel too bad.

Just feels a bit wrong.

Why?

It's not like they've lost anything.

It's not like they didn't agree to give it to you for that much.

I paid like seven bucks for it or something like that before it was on steam, because that's what they were offering it for.

The point of early access is to fund the game's development at the risk of the dev running off to mexico (canada, in this case?) with all the money.

That's why you pay less than what would otherwise be full price. You aren't getting a full game, nor is there any insurance that the game will ever be complete, or even good.

There are some games I get so much replay value I wish there was way for me to give them MORE money.

There is a way. Write a check, put it into an envelope with a note explaining that you think they deserve more money for their game and mail it to them.

Most devs would probably be thrilled to get an unexpected bonus and you'll feel better so everybody wins.

So now that you know how, you're going to do it right? :^)
