It seems to generate a lot of clipping here, despite my system being beefy enough. Is that part of what it does?

Edit: there seems to be an issue where the melody breaks down when its tab is not in focus - except when in a different window. Weird.

Edit 2: a dedicated window just gets less and less rithmic when out of focus.

The idea is nice, but it does not seem to work quite well enough.
