Parts organizer

I've finally made an effort to organize my parts in VAB/SPH to my liking and sort out batteries/solar panels/docking ports, etc.

I could probably investigate this myself, but perhaps somebody knows already:

1) Where my custom catalog is stored?

2) I'm transferring the parts to custom catalogs one by one. Is there a way to select several parts at once and move them all where I want?

3) Which files should I edit to do 2) in a more productive way?

1. The custom catalog is stored in /GameData/Squad/PartList/PartCategories.cfg.
   
2. Not to my knowledge.
   
3. The file mentioned in #1. You'll need to know the internal names for the parts, e.g. the FL-T400 is known internally as "fuelTank", while the Rockomax Jumbo-64 is known as "fuelTank3-2". This can be found by looking at the "name" entry in the part's config file... which is probably more time-consuming than the three clicks it takes to assign a part to a given subcategory from within KSP.
