For those tutorial writers out there (List of gaps in tutorials)

As many know, there are tutorials on the wiki, and these are extremely helpful, especially for those who learn better from written tutorials, rather than videos (Or can't/hard to watch videos, due to bandwith restrictions, slow internet etc.) It's also a centralized source, with a common format. I learnt from the wiki tutorials and Scott Manley videos, mostly. :D And let's face it, the wiki is the primary, official source of information on KSP, so it should be as complete as possible. Especially with the game coming out of early access soon.

Thus, I propose that we should try to get as many tutorials as possible on the Wiki, a good starting point would be a "land there and back" tutorial for every body (Including moons!)

So far, these are the gaps I know of for planets/moons, based off of what's in the tutorial list.

  • Bop (moon of Jool, advanced-ish, might want to make a generalized tutorial for all jool's moons, jool-moon hopping)
  • Vall (jool)
  • Tylo (Jool, special moon, exceptionally massive)
  • Pol (jool)
  • Moho (planet, so high priority)
  • Gilly (Eve, special moon, exceptionally small)
  • Ike (Duna, one could argue this is almost exactly like going to the Mun)

Other tutorials I think might be a good idea:

  • Career mode (this tutorial is okay, but it's mostly early-game, and "rocket surgery" is no longer viable with the parts limit, or funds)
  • Funds management (basically, how to be efficient, know which contracts to pick. NONE of the current tutorials have "funds" or "fund" in their name, and ONE has "career", the aforementioned one. Perhaps split into two tutorials, basic (use SRBS) and advanced (use recoverable spaceplanes))

Tutorials that may need reworking:

  • Making an asset from start to finish: [link] (Doesn't cover unity at ALL, which is essential for making anything more complicated than a structural part.)

FAQ:

Q: Norpo, why don't you write these yourself:

A: That's not where my skills lie, at all. Trust me. Watching me write a tutorial is like (insert analogy here). Writing isn't where my skills lie. :) Proofreading for grammar/spelling is, however, so I mainly do that on the wiki.

If you take on the project of making one of these tutorials, or have an idea, or something that should be added to a list, please let me know through posting on this thread (or PM!)
