Help with installing mods needed

Recommended Posts

What I am trying to do is install most of the USI mods because I like the style they are done in,

however when putting the folders into my KSP GameData folder, only some of them load, (I get karbonite but not FTT for example)IMgzQOI.png

That is what the inside of my game data folder looks like, I have only changed the names at the top, because for some reason you cannot properly merge files on a mac

Any ideas?

(p.s. I am running Yosemite, and I am running KSP through steam)

Many thanks! :huh:

no name changing. you have to merge the folders manual. name changing is a big no no. the USI mods go into the USI folder, everything else just goes free floating in the game data. (by usi mods i mean carbonate, k+, warp drive, exploration pack, and some others. ART and the mod dependencies are free floating.)

Welcome to the forums, Evilyoda!

Do you see how you have sets of mods installed in subfolders of GameData (the USI mods, including FTT, the folder before it, Karbonite, and Kplus)? You need to merge the contents of those folders into your KSP/GameData folder. You can merge by hand, dragging and dropping each folder as needed – this is my recommendation. Alternatively, you can copy & paste all the folders inside FTT into your KSP/GameData folder and OS X will offer to "Merge" or "Keep Newer."

@toric5:

Not quite – the problem here is that the USI mods include several dependencies, which must be installed in KSP/GameData. Rather than moving the USI installations deeper into the UmbraSpaceIndustries folder, Evilyoda needs to move them out one level to GameData.
