Chinese launch schedule 2015 infomation

Some information of China's launch schedule this year.

It is hoped that 30 payloads can be launched this year, this includes meteorology, observation, Beidou GPS, communications, foreign, scientific and engineering satellites. Also a CNSA-ESA joint experiment sat (Shijian-10) will be launched.

All together about 10 rockets will be launched this year (down from 16 2014, 17 2014 and 18 2012) due to industrial slow downs(?).

All missions will be flown in the second half of 2015, this is not unusual just how the Chinese industry works.

Two missions (LM-6 maiden flight and Shijian-10) are confirmed for launch in August and December respectively.

There will be no probes, manned missions or prep missions (like T-1) this year.

Dude, seriously, does this merit a thread ? slow down and think before starting new ones, while some of your threads are good, others are just too one lined and lack merit. it takes up valuable space.

I like all of the threads they post, they either have unique access to rare information about CNSA, or an extreme drive to find it. Its hard to find Chinese websites if you don't speak Chinese. And most of it is interesting, Long March 6 is derived from Long March 5 hardware, so the launch will give us a much clearer idea of its configuration.

And here I thought it interesting... the only thing I thought it lacked was a citation link (which I'll ask for now).

LM-6 isn't derived from LM-5 anymore. The use of the 2.25m booster as first stage was a abandoned during development, it now uses a unique short 3.35m booster.

Most of the information actually came from various news broadcasts (Chinese news channels run updates on the space program every now and then), information on the LM-6 and the amount of launches this year came from the head of Long March development in an interview he gave.

Correct

However it should be noted that Tech Support is right, I am very trigger happy when it comes to making threads (mainly due to the fact I find lot's of information I wan't to share). I really should start a dedicated blog where I can freely post about updates whenever I find out about stuff. As for the Science Labs I will try to limit threads to only necessary things. :)

I am very sorry if I was rude, even I like Xeno's drive to tell the world about CNSA. don't stop posting Xeno, but a blog would be nice ! I will definitely read it !!

Oh no, you weren't rude at all. In fact I enjoy having criticisms since it allows me to improve so I actually thank you. I won't stop posting though don't worry ;), just less small things. I will look into a blog for little updates and things, when I have time though. Thanks for support!

  • 2 months later...

From where I sit - I see tons of threads about American spaceflight around here, so I don't mind the same about the Chinese, even if they are all started by one person. It's nice to get the snippets where we can.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
