IVA model appears in editor

Recommended Posts

I just got this problem recently:

ipYGWvmwTirwf.png

And here is my mod list:

ibiT2czZU7HyAK.png

For the ones without version number, I made sure to get the latest versions. Edit: Mod list is displayed by latest installed.

Can anyone help me figuring out what is throwing all those NRE and spawning that IVA inside editor? It is the B9 HL internal, by the way. And it just repeats with a different IVA when I remove that specific one.

  • try each command pod and see if the same thing happens.

  • what custom part is that? download a separate copy of kerbal space program and just copy across that mod. is the problem still there?

  • try remove rasta prop monitor then check again.

  • any mod that has anything to do with internals 'remove and check' one by one. hopefully there aren't too many :))

Sooo...removing all IVA stuff doesn't help. But removing the whole B9 mod works. I wonder what went wrong. I have been using it for a long while before this, and I just recently add a few new unrelated mods like texture replacer and stuff (see mod list, that is listed by last installed).

It could have happened due to one of the mods you installed after B9. I was running into that same problem, but I removed a couple of mods from my list. Then reset my gamedata, and re-installed the mods I knew worked including the B9. The problem stopped for me. I have been slowly adding more mods from the ones I had downloaded. I'm down to 3 mods that could have been the culprit, unfortunately none of these mods are in your list.

One thing these 3 mods all have in common with B9 how ever, is ModuleManager.2.5.6.dll. So I'm willing to bet that your problem has something to do with another mod that came with that file.

You are not supposed to have more than one module mananger file in the game data folder, and the latest version is 2.5.9.

I check my own mod installation carefully to ensure that duplication doesn't happen. And I just checked it again, there are no duplicated module mananger dll for me. I guess I will have to do drastic binary check again with all the mods to see what went wrong.

Update the Firespitter plugin.

I got the latest Firespitter plugin, but I found the problem. I had a duplicate firespitter dll hanging around in the gamedata folder. Just comb through the whole thing again and found it. I really need to have a way to keep track of my dlls.

In any case, I can confirm that problems with firespitter cause those things to happen. Hope it helps someone else in the future.

What does Firespitter have to do with the IVA view though, that is strange.
